Summary
Introduction PART III
Process of Understanding Gita and Going Back to Godhead
* We have four defects: inabilities, errors, cheating, subjected to illusion
* Inabilities of senses to see, hear.
* Pratyaksha, anumana methods are not possible due to these limitations.
* Vedas are beyond these four defects directly emitted from the lord and come via parampara.
* Hearing is better than seeing to perceive truth.
* Vedas stand the test of time. Plants have life, embryology, cow dung, cow urine, yoga, Vastu, Ayurveda, Viman shastra
* Predicted people in Vedas
* Vedas offer knowledge about the source of everything.
* Mahabharata and Ramayana are history. They actually happened.
* BG and Bhagavatam are the essence of Vedas.
* Knowledge comes from parampara :
* Inductive vs deductive knowledge: Who is your father? To DNA test, will take 800+ years and still you will not be sure.
* Mantras are so powerful that earlier weapons were evoked by chanting mantras.
* Books: Veda, Teacher: guru, Bonafide institution: sampradaya analogy
* How educated people got diverted from Vedas: Mecolay like people polluted. Misinterpreted the Vedas. Told that it is not worth spending time
* We are children playing at the seashore. Our palace may get smashed. Our relationship is not with the sandcastle but with our actual parents.
* There are four bonafide sampradayas
* Vedic knowledge is not a matter of research. It is a descending process. It is apaurusheya.
* Tukaram went back to godhead.
* In order to go back to godhead, do your duty but think of Krishna always.
